The Hungarian Society for Environmental Education (HSEE) organises a seminar for environmental educators from Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic called „Kezedben a világ” (Our world is in your hand).

Date:
31 January 2015 (Saturday) – 1 February 2015 (Sunday)

Venue:
Budapest, MÜSZI
Address: 1085 Budapest, Blaha Lujza tér 1.

The aim of the seminar is to introduce an environmental education planning tool (hand model) to the participants through mainly practical activities supported by some theoretical background. The ’hand model’ is one of the outputs of the Real World Learning Network (www.rwlnetwork.org) project. HSEE (www.mkne.hu) has taken part in this 3-year project supported by Comenius Programme of the European Union with partners from Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia and the UK.

Why is it useful to know this model?

-        With the help of the model you can plan environmental education programmes more consciously
-        It is a brilliant tool in education for sustanable development
-        You can actively contribute to improving the model
-        It is a great opportunity to meet environmental educators from other countries and work with them hand-inhand

Please bring along one or more of your environmental education programs in order that we can explore, discuss and develop them further with the help of the model.

Participation is free of charge.
It is a two-day seminar starting on Saturday at 10 am and closing Sunday early afternoon, after a late lunch.

Besides Hungarian participants we are expecting 4 environmental educators from each of the other three Visegrad countries (Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia).

The language of the training is Hungarian. English interpretation will be provided for non-Hungarians.
